Pfunkt: The one-man band with a plan… to make you explode with pelvic fury! With the micro­phone fury of a 19th cen­tury sailor and the ver­nac­u­lar of a pre­ten­tious poet, Pfunkt shat­ters the dance­floor.  With relent­less vocal energy and razor-sharp synth hooks. this tune is more infec­tious than a rabid chi­huahua!   All this makes for an assault­ing live show — leap­ing out the decks and into your face, Pfunkt is a man of the stage. Some have tried to sum up this musi­cal fla­vor with mouth­fuls like „electro-sleaze-hip-hop-house.“ Is that even a genre? No. It isn‘t. You don‘t know Pfunkt until you get a taste for your­self… so open wide.

The man behind Pfunkt is 21 year old stu­dent Alex Burkat from Philadel­phia, who relo­cated to Pitts­burgh to study Cre­ative Writ­ing and Film Stud­ies.  He‘s star­ring in the video for „Con­fi­d­ance“ which he has also directed.  Alex already stirred a buzz with his ener­getic and funny live-shows as well as with his videos.

Now we are happy to present his debut release on Moon­boo­tique.  „Con­fi­d­ance“ is a dirty rock­ing Electro-track that will dev­ast the dance­floors.  While the extended ver­sion on the a-side has under­gone a spe­cial treat­ment by Moonbootica‘s Tobitob, the remix has been crafted by labelchiefs Moon­boot­ica who add a seri­ous por­tion of dirty funk with a new bassline.
