Following the success of the recent storming, non-stop dance party that was their Double CD ‘Save The Night’, its now time to announce the full release of the exclusive cut ‘Men Of The Future’. The original version of the duo’s latest bomb is included here in its full glory, plus a smashing remix from Kris Menace.

Nothing can quite prepare you for what might happen to your body after hearing ‘Men Of The Future’. A future-classic-retro-modern hit parade, the boys tweaked their controls to the max on this club certified disco jam. Futuristic, yet lovingly tipping its hat to the good old days of the disco generation, this refreshing and intensely uplifting feel-good tune is not one you’ll forget in a hurry!

French electro-smash god Kris Menace turns in his remix on the flipside, tweaking out the original and injecting a fair amount of electronic funk into proceedings. Complete with a rather epic break and a sizzling, sexy vibe, Kris’ mix is sure to please and keep on pleasing…!

The original disco bear strikes again on Moonbootique! After last years huge ‘Flashing Disco Sounds’ comp, and some absolute winners like his recent 12 on Hertzlich, Ante Perry is back with a guaranteed dancefloor destroyer!

Following the huge anthem “Human You” Ante teams up once more with the ingenious Tube & Berger to put up another bomb.

‘1234’ is a club assured, fiendish disco bomb that refuses to sit down. Working upwards from a solid tech house groove, the track explodes into freshly spiked disco mayhem in a matter of minutes. Nothing can prepare the floor for what occurs after the first of its several breaks has dropped, and we’re left confident of Ante’s total hit potential.

Next its Moonbootica’s turn to wrap ‘1234’ round their studio cables and churn out another surprising and classic ‘Bootica’ battle weapon. Glossy, dramatic and straight to the jugular, their tough beatdown version is sure to do the business where its needed.

The Netherland’s Kabale Und Liebe also fronts the remix line up, with his wonderful ‘Filter Funk Remix’. Using the original samples in a fun, cut up and heads-down trip, the mix works wonders with its smooth funking bass and pacing arrangement. Kabale doesn’t disappoint here, and its an easy climb up the flashing disco elevator straight onto the dancefloor…!

One of the exclusive tracks featured on their recent and fabulous 'Save The Night!' mix compilation, Moonbootica's 'The Ease' is the next bomb to drop on Moonbootique Recordings.

One of the exclusive tracks featured on their recent and fabulous ‘Save The Night!’ mix compilation, Moonbootica’s ‘The Ease’ is the next bomb to drop on Moonbootique Recordings.

Throwing massive house, tough electronic disco and tweaked out filter action into a giant melting pot of peak time perfection, ‘The Ease’ grabs our attention with sharp, tightly tuned drums leading towards a monster party bassline that flies through several tense climaxes. Peaking, big-stlye disco throwdowns a-plenty!

Fukkk Offf’s tough remix raises the bar with chunky, bass-heavy drums, and a more sinister groove that leans towards the maximal end of the spectrum. Still peaking, still party, this more acidic version shows off the extreme virtues of Fukkk Offf as a remixer!

Dada Life’s electro’d up version lifts the bassline madness up into space with a stunning re-interpretation that sees the climbing sequence replayed on some thick analogue synths for extra electronic delight. Watch out for the break it’ll knock your socks off.

Finally Chris Krawall’s brash remix really breaks all the boundaries with a positively huge and might we say genius interpretation of Moonbootica’s original. Dirty, cut up and re-sampled beats lead the way towards an electro-gothic break that’ll have any dancefloor in raptures in no time.

Tracklisting:

The new mix from the Hamburg duo, squeezed onto a double CD, says it all.
“Save The Night” is not only the title, it’s the mission statement.

Moonbootica take the rescue business very seriously. Pretty much every week, koweSix and tobitob roll into the clubs on the top of their game, to breathe life into the slogan.
They’re absolutely on it, in position, flaunting their skills and executing their best move — in a nutshell: they’ll do everything in their power to rescue this very night from pervasive greyness.

But what about you? What are you going to do? How will you save the night?

Show us. Show us how you save the night. What saves the night. Who saves the night. You know what we’re saying: save the night! We want to see it!

Post your rescue photo as comment on MYSPACE.
For the best entries, koweSix and tobitob will be giving out prizes
which can save any night.

The much loved all-night-dance-party duo that is Moonbootica are back with the third installment in their highly praised mix series. ‚Save The Night‘ follows on from ‚DJ Sounds Good‘ and ‚… And Then We Started To Dance,‘ which spread their name and unique talents ever further.… The duo have since become synonymous with high quality, high energy dance parties that have made them a household name in Germany and beyond!

This very special double CD package features nearly three hours of finely mixed auditory pleasures, including two new and exclusive tunes from the guys (‚The Ease‘ & ‚Men of the Future‘), and many more special edits, remixes and surprises along the way. Its really a surprise trip too, encompassing everything between electro-house-disco-funk-minimal and more.…! The selection process for this DJ mix-extraordinaire was complex, from the heart and totally personal. The style police are powerless — Moonbootica turn it all upside down and show them how it should really be done!

Kicking things off with an addicitve energy that only the men from the Moon can offer, CD1 starts the party straight away with tasty tracks from the likes of Bodymovin, Anton Pieete, Adam Freeland, Evil Nine, Alex Metric and more besides… Highlights being Moonbootica‘s first exclusive track for the comp, the shaking synth attack of ‚The Ease‘, Hey Today‘s freakin‘ ‚Wonderman‘, or the ‚Bootica guy‘s own remix of Bodymovin‘s filter-frenzy — ‚Everybody‘. Lively, generously selected tracks and a who-whos of the worlds top club producers ensure this first CD will keep things non-stop-rocking. Seamlessly mixed, CD 1 presents an eclectic and non-stop ride through the world of Moonbootica. Suggesting the delights that might lie in store if you check them out live in the club, it leads nicely onto the second stage of the mix.

And CD2 holds even more treasures.… taking things a little psychedelic at first, with trippin‘ cuts from the likes of Martin Czubala, Lemos and Kasper Bjorke (Catz‘N‘Dogz mix), before soaring back into their trademark hybrid disco floorshow, with Turntablerocker‘s interpretation of ‚Everybody‘ paving the way towards club smashing territory. The second new gem from Moonbootica comes shortly after in the shape of ‚Men Of The Future‘, and opens the galactic floodgates for a sweet and stellar second half of the mix, with later highlights from John Daly and Rodriguez Jr, before a fitting conclusion in the shape of Good Guy Mikesh & Filburt‘s heartbreaking ‚Someone Told Me‘.

Showing off every corner of this dynamic and lovable duo‘s passions for cutting-edge club vibes, ‚Save The Night‘ marks a milestone in the remarkable 10 year long career of these two devoted music activists from Hamburg… Swathed in good spirits, and drenched in high-quality dancefloor action, you‘ll be hard up to find a hotter mix this summer! So nightclubbing we always will be..! Save The Night!

Dortmund‘s workaholic DJ, Producer, Promoter and all round man-on-the-scene, Ante Perry, lives music. Convinced from an early age that he was destined to be behind the turntables...

Dortmund‘s workaholic DJ, Producer, Promoter and all round man-on-the-scene, Ante Perry, lives music. Convinced from an early age that he was destined to be behind the turntables, he is now at the next level; a well loved and respected key player in Germany‘s rich club scene. One of the focal points of this years huge Love Parade in Dortmund, he is running headfirst up the steady mountain of success.

Ante began his professional DJ career at the age of 21, kick-started by the success of the infamous Funkraum parties in Arnsberg, and now maintains a high profile and ever-growing gig schedule all across Europe. His own parties in Dortmund have now welcomed guests as renowned as DJ T, Josh Wink, Moonbootica, M.A.N.D.Y and more, and with the advent of his ‚Flashing Disco Sounds‘ party concept, its sure to grow. A brand new double cd compilation is out now on Moonbootique, under the same name, which is sure to bring even more attention to his addictive and fun-loving party ethic.

Its his dedication to keeping the crowd on their toes, not allowing them to get bored, and certainly keeping them guessing. This is the beauty of his ‚Flashing Disco Sounds‘ identity and concept — to continually and joyfully break genre barriers, and exceed expectations…

‚I could DJ 7 days a week and 52 weeks a year…‘, he admits, as he possesses the special power to ‚make the people on the Dancefloor flip-out!‘ Like the best DJs pushing things forward, the 28 year old Dortmund ‚Diskobär‘ truly represents his own slice of music culture, and if you‘re lucky enough to see him play all night at one of his famous self-promoted parties, you‘ll see how he brings it with him every time he‘s behind the decks.

Well-known for his eccentric and flamboyant DJ style, long nights full of drama and tales of the unexpected, Ante is not only a DJ, of course, but now a blossoming producer. His hits on labels like Systematic, Two Faces, and of course Moonbootique, became favourites with DJs across the board, and a full display of his talents can be found on the new ‚Flashing Disco Sounds‘ which includes a bonus unmixed cd of his key productions.

Former A&R manager for Moguai and Phil Fuldner‘s imprints Punx and Polo, Ante also knows a thing or two about how to build a hit. Tracks like his debut release on Moonbootique in 2006, the uplifting yet defiant ‚Beach Power‘, his many collaborations with Tube & Berger, like the mindblowing ‚Affentanz‘, or his work alongside Babylon Robots such as ‚Mutant Rebellion‘ (featured on the new compilation) all prove his huge talents as a producer.

Expect big things from this insatiable activist!

Sometimes a musical partnership is formed, where high quality forward thinking output is almost guaranteed, due to the sheer talent and experience of its 2 members. The partnership then of DJ Friction (of the hugely popular German band Freundeskreis), and DJ Thomilla (the well known Hip-Hop DJ and Producer, also one half of Turntablerocker with Michi Beck) was a certified, tried and tested winning combination. After much success individually, and eventual touring together with their various different projects, the pair got together as a DJ double act, and so ‚Bodymovin‘ was born.

Of course the natural progression after the duo‘s riotous DJ touring was to dedicate time in the studio together. The first results of these sessions could be heard on their first single ‚Good Time‘, which kicked things off for the newly founded ‚We Love This‘ label, followed by ‚Everybody‘ on Moonbootique. Now we are greeted with a full length, self-titled artist album that mixes superbly produced, energetic electro-disco-house jams with catchy, nu-pop sentiments, stretched over 12 glorious tracks; Moonboutique‘s third CD format release.

The album is richly decorated with lovingly played analogue synth vibes, funked-out basslines, irresistible vocal hooks and an unending supply of tight, club-friendly beats. All this is tied together by subtle, lovingly sequenced arrangements that lock the listener in, yet surprise them with a constant forward moving energy that presents raw musical ideas in a more digestible context. This is a real amalgam of modern electronic, effortlessly appealing to fans across the spectrum.

There are 12 tracks featured here, each with their own voice, mode and vision — they are all irresistible, essential cuts — and its clear to hear the high quality, instinctive song-writing skills of the duo right from the introduction bars of ‚Yeah!‘. Melding electronic disco, modern dancefloor beats and ultra-catchy synth-lines a-plenty, tracks like their single hits ‚Good Time‘ or ‚Everybody‘, ‚In & Out‘ or their trademark ‚B.O.D.Y.M.O.V.I.N‘ shake the system upside down.…

Distinc synth-pop-meets-disco moments are displayed with the uplifting ‚It Wasn‘t Calf‘ or the subtle ‚Freak‘, while more dancefloor jams roll out with a certain minimal exterior, like ‚Sureshot‘ or the album‘s epilogue that is ‚Get Down‘. In-between we are even treated to a couple of sweetly-slowed numbers like ‚Hold Back‘ or ‚More & More‘ that remind us of Friction and Thomilla‘s un-ending musicality, and distinguished song-writing skills.…!

Its a remarkably accomplished album literally bursting at the seams with fresh musical ideas, catchy, presenting unforgettable hooks and up-front dancefloor energy together with true song-writing and a classy, unmistakably professional sound. Welcome to the space-disco-tech-house-song-writing world of Bodymovin!!

Continuing the intergalactic electronic extravaganza that is Bodymovin’s self titled debut album, one of the duo’s hottest cuts from the acclaimed longer-player is now ready to hit the shelves complete with two very special remixes.

First up, as if they really needed to prove their might, label bosses Moonbootica re-work ‘Everybody’ into an absolute stormer for the clubs. Taking off like rocket, this stellar remix uses the the catchy vocal refrain as its central pivot, careening around it with hot basslines, intense synth trip-outs and pure, unrivaled energy. Simply unstoppable!

Then of course the original track is included as a reminder of its greatness. Bodymovin’s talent for creating multi-pathed musical stories is certainly on show here, as the audio acrobatics are in full swing. Swirling synthlines and tough percussion underpin this nu-disco-electro hybrid. Part club track, part pure musical experience!

Finally Turntablerocker have their say with their pacy, looping percussive remix. Working the disco vibes to the max by pushing up the pitch fader, the inimitable duo create a winding, peaking jam leaping into tribal and acidic territories. Heavy stuff for the dancefloors and yet again proof of Turntablerocker’s remixing talents.

Tracklisting:
A1 Everybody (Moonbootica Remix)
A2 Everybody
B Everybody (Turntablerocker Remix)

Dresden‘s own Captain-of-Funk Stereofunk turns in a huge new EP for Moonboutique, truly capturing the crazy club vibes expected during his DJ sets and proving his production skills are indeed top notch.

‚Captain Funk‘ is a playful, catchy celebration of rubbery bass induced mind bending proportions…! Full of twists and turns from start to finish its a carefully executed walk off the Captain‘s disco plank, splashing into the hot, bass infested ocean of Funk!

Cheeky Post-Modern ravers Fukkk Off hand over a bountiful remix that pushes the energy even higher, with monster builds and room filling, Daft Punk reminiscent melodic sentiments… Its a huge 21st century floor filler that will surely lift the eponymous Fukkk Off production project even higher into the new year.

Finally Stereofunk‘s jittering tech-disco jam that is ‚Superwoman‘ finishes off the package in style. Its a bouncing, all round dancefloor weapon that makes a functional and impressive mark on all that it encounters. Once again its proof of Stereofunk‘s talents for combining tough dancefloor dynamics with superfunky songwriting and addictive arrangements.

A Captain Funk (Fukkk Off Remix)

Bodymovin aka DJ Friction & DJ Thomilla are two DJs and Producers with a very high reputation indeed. Over the last 15 years, they have become entwined both as friends and professionals, fi nding so many common factors in their roots, environment, musical history and influences.

Stuttgart born DJ Thomilla (now living in Berlin) became famous as a HipHop DJ and producer. With ‚Get Up‘ and ‚Reimemonster‘ (released on his very successfull debut album Genuine Draft) he landed two instant-hits of the genre. Further more, Thomilla was rewarded twice Platinum for his productions for the Fantastischen Vier (amongst others the hit singles ‚Troy‘ and ‚Einfach sein‘ were his products of his studio wizardry).

In the 90’s DJ Friction founded Freundeskreis together with Max Herre and Philippe Kayser. The outcome of their energetic work was two albums, one live LP, one ‚Best Of‘ compilation, golden records, numerous accolades and awards as well as receiving the label as one of the most important German bands within the last 10 years. After the millenium both experienced a musical metamorphosis. At fi rst they looked back to the early DJ days, a new wild-thing made of Funk, Soul, Disco, HipHop, House, Electro or Miami Bass into the modern times. The end of this spectrum was a common ground, in which the two musicians found new inspiration. This happened for Thomilla together with Michi Beck as Turntablerocker and for Friction as a solo act. DJ Friction then became a DJ and band support for live and DJ tours of Turntablerocker. The Bodymovin duo fi nally became formal in the year 2004, after the riotous joint club tour for their respective solo albums (Thomilla ‚Freeze‘; DJ Friction ‚Soulsonic‘).

In the duo‘s own words, they play ‚musical chess‘. Productions, like DJ-Gigs develop step by step. Both of them always fi nd the right answer. With 20 years of DJ experience the crowd dancing to Bodymovin in the club is taken to a plethora or different levels, growing in intensity as their set rides on into the night. Peaks and climaxes are all important, as is the tension that comes between them… each musical chapter is like a valve through which the heightened energy and pressure escapes, and lets the crowd go wild. At the same time the audience has the assurance that the next climax is never far away…!

As a DJ duo Bodymovin do not consciously serve one genre, and this is also their moto in the studio. In the beginning single Bodymovin tracks sound like their sets in fast motion, but they also work with hooks and vocals, and strong musical sequences, and in the end, they get lost in space! An important characteristic of a Bodymovin track, is the instrumental composition which they give high importance to. The instruments are played by them selves and they consciously avoid obvious effects or gimmicks.

Their self titled debut album, ‚Bodymovin‘ goes live in Autumn ‚09 on Moonboutique Records! Richly decorated with lovingly played analogue synth vibes, funked-out basslines, irresistible vocal hooks and an unending supply of tight, club-friendly beats, there are 12 tracks featured here, each with their own voice, mode and vision — they are all irresistible, essential cuts! Melting together electronic disco, modern dancefl oor beats and ultra-catchy synth-lines a-plenty, tracks like their hit singles ‚Good Time‘ (released in summer ‘09), ‚Everybody‘ (Sept. ́09) or their trademark ‚B.O.D.Y.M.O.V.I.N‘ shake the system upside down! Its a remarkably accomplished album bursting at the seams with fresh musical ideas, catchy, unforgettable hooks and up-front dancefl oor energy, mixed together with true song-writing and a high-class professional sound.

You could also say, that Friction and Thomilla feel very happy, working somewhere between music for the head and music for the legs… Because that‘s where the body is, and the heart and the soul. Just Bodymovin!

Dortmund‘s very own Ante Perry introduces his famous Flashing Disco Sounds concept in the form of a fantastic, barrier-breaking DJ mix, and an exclusive additional CD showcasing some of his greatest productions to date plus some new and unreleased tunes.

Fresh from yet another storming Love Parade weekend in Dortmund, the workaholic DJ, Producer, party organiser and self professed ‚Diskobär‘ has made a name for himself over his 8 year career with electronic music. Known for his long, dramatic and unpredictable DJ sets, Ante‘s mix is a finely tuned machine full of building and expanding underground, eclectic house music.

The ‚Flashing Disco Sounds‘ concept is one that refuses to conform to rigid borders and pre-determined directions. The legendary long running parties of the same name, promoted by Ante, have given this multi tasking creative force a reputation for the finest mixture of modern sounds available, and this is translated here over 15 tracks of purest and deepest abandon!

Opening with the beautiful chiming melodies of Ante Perry and Kolombo‘s ‚Reaction‘, the mix quickly shows off its party intentions, mixing into the addictive hypno-funk of Burnski‘s ‚You Said‘. After some uplifting vocal action courtesy of Stereotyp and Fauna Flash the rousing swagger of Johnny D‘s huge ‚Orbitallife‘ takes centre stage.

Later spine tingling moments include Vincenzo‘s recent haunting hit, ‚Fruit Fly‘, back to back Joris Voorn‘s deeply nocturnal ‚Blank‘. Ante brings the pressure with rolling basslines and reminiscent melodies a-plenty, as his co-production with Tube & Berger raises the roof. More bouncing, minimal sentiments unravel from herein, and the might of Heiko Laux exposes his raw and edgy dynamics.
Pushing through till the early hours, Ante keeps the intensity at breaking point with Oliver Klein & Peter Jürgens‘ ‚Scoleville‘, before the warm and spaced out disco delight of Chymera‘s ‚Shadowdancer‘ finishes the mix in true Flashing Disco Sounds style!

The bonus CD included here celebrates Ante Perry: the Producer.

10 unique, un-mixed tracks allow the listener to explore the many different personas that Ante adopts when in the studio, either alone, as a remixer, or alongside production partners Tube & Berger, or Babylon Robots. There are 4 exclusive, new productions made especially for this compilation.

Keys cuts include the rolling, house funk of Ante‘s exclusive track ‚Jay‘, the deep house journey from Dortmund via Hamburg that is Ante‘s remix of Maniax‘s ‚Plutonium Boy‘, and monstrous insanity of ‚Affentanz‘ — those monkeys will never behave!

Ante‘s key collaborators Tube & Berger and Bablylon Robots have also both joined with him in the studio to produce the bombs ‚Walthervondervogelweide‘, ‚Symbiose‘ and ‚Mutant Rebellion‘, respectively. The former are slow building journey tracks with plenty of funk and more than enough stomp, while the ‚Rebelion‘ is a twisted electro jam revolving around some freaky fx and dark, morphing synth lines.

Of course who could miss the other essential inclusions, like Ante‘s insatiable remix of Elia Cassetti Orchestra‘s ‚Infinito‘, or the aptly named ‚3 A.M‘, but we‘re sure you‘ll discover the magic in each and every one of these full length lovelies…!

Dortmund‘s very own ‚Diskobär‘, the inimitable Ante Perry prepares for new double cd long-player extravaganza, ‚Flashing Disco Sounds,‘ with two cuts exclusively produced with close studio comrades Tube & Berger. These hot co-productions between the long-time buddies simply cannot fail to get the party going.

The overwhelming anthemic stir of ‚Human You‘ is evident for the very start, but its true dancefloor potential can only be understood after the full ecstatic wonder of the breakdown pours out over a large crowd. Super-constructed tech-discohouse is where it‘s at in this high intensity, high drama, big room Flashing Disco monster.

The curiously titled ‚Walthervondervogelweide‘ on the other hand is a more brooding beast altogether. Working the underlying tension and keeping the pressure tightly locked to the floor its a dangerous late night dancefloor workout… left in the wrong hands this could seriously damage your ability to leave the dancefloor!

Finally fellow Dortmund heavy-calibre producer Peter Jürgens works his remixing magic and twists ‚Human You‘ into a housed up, long building affair that operates on a more stripped, subterranean level to begin with but bursts out above ground with carefully timed energy. Warm driving beats and pads layer to reveal the identifying melody of the original. Its big drama, stirring stuff once again!

Tracklisting:
A Human You
B1 Walthervondervogelweide
B2 Human You (Peter Jürgens Remix)

Hamburg‘s promising duo-de-force Maniax, aka Marc Deal and Ferris, are back with another outstanding 12“ on Moonbootique. The pair, who have already played alongside the likes of Tiefschwarz, Digitalism, Turntable Rockers, Malente and Lützenkirchen to name a few, now hold a residency at the much respected Baalsaal club in Hamburg. With the new single being co-written and co-produced by Moonbootica‘s Tobitob, they really show off their skills here, creating monster beats stirred together with strong emotional dancefloor.

After last year‘s plentiful helping of rave medicine, ‚Dark City‘, the pair won favour across the board for their ‚straight to the jugular‘ take on the electro-tech-house sound. This new EP takes things one step further however, with the A side ‚Plutonium Boy‘ taking flight straight out of the pair‘s top-secret bomb factory! A wonky and obese bassline wiggles its way through the array of sharp beats, building with intense crescendos as layers of thick synth chords take their aim, smashing into the target with unbelievable force. Its a cleverly sequenced musical journey thats full of heart, energy and emotion!

The equally dangerous ‚Heroes‘ takes a shuffling electro swing and tweaks another typically manic monster bassline through various adrenal FX rushes. This is a staggering, swaggering and energetic dancefloor tool that boasts more dynamism and clever ideas than so many others around.

Toning things down a notch, but still maintaining a covertly close aim on the disco target, label mate and busy DJ & Producer Ante Perry completes the package with a special dubbed remix of ‚Plutonium Boy‘. Spreading the damage zone of this release even wider, Perry abducts the synth stabs of the original and takes them away on a driving, dirty weekend in Berlin…

Besides their work together as Maniax, Ferris just became a member of the reknowned German group Deichkind while Marc Deal‘s unique vocals featured on the latest Moonbootica album, and will be touring with them this summer on their numerous festival dates.

The latest dispatch of otherworldly brilliance from esteemed electronic label Moonbootique offers four radically different interpretations of Sino Mack’s crazed computer funk. The original of ‘This ‘n’ That’ bumps along like a heavier Daft Punk, house with a heavy dose of boogie in its blood, as Mr. Mack sings the strange, addictive vocal: “A Little Bit of this / A Little Bit of That / a Little Bit of Dog / a Little Bit of Cat”.

The Decalicious Zick Zack Mix, transports the mood of the original into a wild acid techno rhythm. A slice of pure overdriven 303 electro, with a thundering, punky, buzzsaw bassline for those tougher floors.

koweSix – one half of Moonbootica — offers chopped up, sparkling keys in his version, before building to a massive club-erupting electro crescendo that’ll enliven any set and work the crowd into a sweat. Lastly, Amir’s mix relocates the cut into minimal mode, the mood strictly nocturnal, an intoxicatingly subtle house bump.

Each track is tailor-made to detonate dancefloors across the genre divides: another typically astute, killer 12” from the excellent Moonbootique stable.

When Daft Punk are the parents of Justice, then Moonbootica are even more the pioneers of german indie dance and surely the parents of Digitalism and Boys Noize. Moonbootica are koweSix and tobitob from Hamburg and certainly one of the most popular and constantly rocking dj– and producer-duos from Germany since the late 90s. After their debut lp from 2005 They just released their second album “Moonlight Welfare” with “Der Mond” as second single. This track hints at a bright and busy night ahead…none other than Jan Delay reveals that the moon is our sun: “Der Mond ist unsere Sonne”. His inimitable delivery enhances the aura and fascination of the moon, wishing for a night that never ends. A fantastic piece of music which defies categorisation. Jagged, rugged, yet somehow weightless, like the sandstruck natural high of an all-nighter. Amazing remixes by Dada Life (Pickadoll) and Hey Today! plus the great bonus remix from Preocoop make this a huge package.
Tracklist:

1. Moonbootica ft. Jan Delay – Der Mond (Club Mix)
2. Moonbootica ft. Jan Delay – Der Mond (Dada Life Mix)
3. Moonbootica ft. Jan Delay – Der Mond (Hey Today! Remix Mix)
4. Moonbootica ft. Jan Delay – Der Mond (Instrumental)
5. Moonbootica ft. IAMX – Pretty Little Angel (Peocoop Baalsaal Remix)

If somebody knows how to mount tension in dance music it is definitely Ante Perry, as he proves once more on his new Moonbootique release „Jetstream“!
Mr. Perry, already known for floorfillers like „Der Urknall“ or „Beachpower“, is going to strengthen this huge success again. For the new single „Jetstream“ Ante invited no one less than the well known Tube & Berger aka Babylon Robots who released on Ministry Of Sound, Sony UK, Oxyd, Alphabet City and their own label Kittball Records and their discography inlcudes an impressive UK Top 30 hit („Straight Ahead“).

The title track kicks off with a strong bassline and a powerful synth, breaks right after just to explode the next moment with huge sounds, which shake things up to death. Basses and claps and a warm catchy melody escort the gentle dance vibe across the whole track. While keeping the tension on a high level from start to end, a sweet organ makes sure that this one will be an earwig. Great stuff!

On the flipside „Affentanz“ (translates something like „monkey fuss“) starts with a dark bassline and peaks into true „BoogieHouseElectroPunk“ with thrilling sounds, crazy monkey roars and the monstrous bassline. Big one!

Tracklisting:
A Jetstream
B Affentanz

Moonbootica will be celebrating their tenth birthday next year. Or rather, they won’t. Contrary to expectations, there will be no megalomaniac, orgiastic über party. Not an echo of prosecco. No cheese on sticks or twiglets. Nada. Its business as usual. In traditional Moonbootica fashion, they simply keep on keeping on. As they have been doing since their inception in 1999, the Hamburg duo have, in the truest sense of the word, kept things simple — guaranteed to rock the party and keeping on keeping on is the Moonbootica mission statement that made them great. Onwards and upwards, breaking the borders and out into the night, the darkened hours which need to be saved. Hence the title of their new compilation applies to them and to everyone else. A call to duty and a mass appeal. As the man says at the start of the set: “We need you — you and us, we have to save the night (…) We still have to save the night, save the night, … !”

The peaktime mix on the first CD pulsates with brilliance — a solid slice of Moonbootica funk, laced with their own productions, fit to turn any HGV cab into a hedonist sauna club — but its the second disc, filled to the brim with 76 minutes and 35 seconds of bliss that really does the trick. Without wishing to diminish Moonbootica’s services to the audience in the slightest, the two sets can broadly be categorized as the compulsory programme on the one hand and freestyle on the other. Top marks for both, with the compulsory programme hitting all the right buttons and the freestyle performance underlining Moonbootica’s artistic qualities. As it happens, their fans and friends often ask them about the “in between” albums — dismantling the construct of studio album and compilation — to them its all artistic freedom.

Disc two showcases Moonbootica in more playful mood, more percussive and unpredictable, adventurous and rich in tantalizing sounds of a thousand and one nights — strange knocks and futuristic hiss, voodoo queens and parrots, ritualistic voice fragments and party incantations, repeated like mantras. In the final third, a new Moonbootica number, “Men Of The Future”, makes an appearance, heralding a final change of course as we enter the realm of disco. Possibly the sound of the future as imagined by the disco dwellers of the past. An elegant, streamlined structure sparkling in the moonlight, somewhere out there in the eternal night …

Epilogue: A few years ago, Kowe and Tobi were asked during the course of an interview where they were up to in the thousand page story of their life. Their answer: page 81. If one were to pose the same question today, they may well be a few pages further on, but even if ten or a hundred pages have since been turned, the bulk of the boom lies ahead. In these transient times, where ageing is akin to a deadly sin, in one of the fastest-moving trades around , where activists have half the shelf life of natural yoghurt, Moonbootica stand firm in the current of fugacity, resolute as ever. The party continues. No jubilee. Save the night.

Sooner or later, every musician or DJ has to decide whether he is going to devote his career, short or long, to stirring up the same stimulants for the same scenarios – it could seem boring on the one hand, but exactly what you are looking for on the other. In the world of experts and purists, every click and bleep has its rightful place – could be just the thing, if thats what you are into. Others go for the multi– dimensional approach – without abiding by the cast-iron rule of the dealers’ guild: Don’t get high on your own supply! No, there’s no reason to show restraint. There’s enough to go around. For you and me, for KoweSix and tobitob … Think big! Think again! Think bigger!
KoweSix and tobitob just released their stunning first label-compilation “Moonbootique presents SOUND”, a thrilling ride through the first couple of singles on their Moonbootique imprint.
Now we are looking forward to the next strike: “Jump Around”!
„Jump Around“ is a massive cover version of House of Pain’s hit and is a prieview on Moonbootica’s upcoming longplayer „Moonlight Welfare“. In addition to the extraordinary album version, this vinyl is served with banging remixes from dA frESh, Eyerer & Chopstick and the boys themselves.
On A1, French dA frESh takes it on a propulsive bassride, in memory of good old „saw tooth“ techno. Very energetic work!
On A2, you’ll find Kowesix and tobitob’s Moonbootica Club Mix. They slow down things a bit, but after a short warm-up, they set everything on fire. Sure bomb for heavy dose noise motherf..ers!
Eyerer & Chopstick recently released their tracks on great labels such as Great Stuff, Underwater and iO Music and now they present us their idea of „Jumping Around“ on B1. They way they squeeze the bass and add pushing staccato chords, this remix is made for the more minimalistic tech heads out there.
Last but not least, it’s the Moonbootica LP Mix on B2. Full vocal and hysteric as hell!
Jump, jump, jump, jump.….

Always on a mission to discover new and talented artists, the Moonbootique headhonchos discovered this young producer on the shores of Hamburg: The Coconut Wireless aka DJ Lice. The — on first sight — odd name origins from the traditional language of the Hawaiian natives, who communicated in a special mouth-to-mouth only language to carry news and gossips from coast to coast. This news also included info about the hottest surf-spots on the island. And here comes The Coconut Wireless into action, who likes to surf digital waves made of House-, Electro– and Bigbeat tunes, tight as a Neoprene suit.

„Get The Fuck Up“ is indeed a tight Electro-House burner with mighty beats and a strong drive, this tune offers so many great aspects that the Moonbootique assembled a massive remix package.
For their remix of „Get The Fuck Up“ Robosonic (aka Schall & Robotti) focus on the mighty bass line and add loads of weird sounds from way-out synthies to street noise.
The Havana Boys aka Henrik Raabe and Jakob Seidensticker aka The Egocentric, who are currently working on their third album, add a touch of dub and rhythmwise a slight caribbean flavour, which remain covered behind a wall of Electrowaves.
Finally Saint Pauli contributes a remix in their „German filter massacre“ style. Kicking off with devasting beats, their mix is by far the wildest and weirdest and leaves no questions. epic.

Tracklisting:
A1 Get The Fuck Up
A2 Get The Fuck Up (Robosonic remix)
B1 Get The Fuck Up (Havana Boys remix)
B2 Get The Fuck Up (Saint Pauli remix)

Moonbootique Records proudly presents SOUND — the first CD compilation of the young label that became one of the pioneers in the exploding genre pigeonholed as Electro-House. The first label-album features an exquisite array of not only released, but also unreleased and exclusive tracks from the Moonbootique catalogue. Most of the tracks appear as special versions or remixes. „SOUND“ comes in a special mix by mysterious Mr. Black Van, a close friend of Moonbootique label-head KoweSix, who runs the label alongside his partner Tobitob. KoweSix and Tobitob also form the label‘s flagship act Moonbootica.

The splendid mix incorporates rocking, Break fueled beats and thrilling vibes from the best Moonbootique tracks. The highlights are Moonbootica‘s „Break Of Light“, the Moonbootica remix of IAMX‘ (Chris Corner of Sneaker Pimps), „Kiss And Swallow“, Maniax‘ „Dark City“, Malente‘s „Killer Applikation“ and the new Ascii Disko version of „Hey“.
The tracks on the album reveal the different influences of the Moonbootique sound: Electro, House, Breaks, funky Disco and dirty rocking Pop. Black Van manages to fuse them all in an exciting mix, that leaves enough room for each track to tell it‘s own story, whilst also building a homogenous piece of great music paired with Moonbootique‘s own humour.
About Moonbootique / Moonbootica:
Moonbootique is the label of the two DJ‘ s and producers koweSix and tobitob, well known as Moonbootica. They are are some sort of a legend in their own lifetime. Over the years they have played with, produced, and remixed some of the best.
Names like Planet Funk, Tiga, GusGus, R. Dorfmeister, Skin/Skunk Anansie and Mando Diao are liberally spread across their C.V. They founded the label in 2001 after discovering that their productions would not fit in with any other label at that time. After releasing 2 Mix-albums and their debut longplayer alongside several 12“es, the label has established itself as a platform for artists who share a similarly versatile understanding of modern dance music.

KoweSix and Tobitob are also one of the most exciting DJ teams around, their sets are so explosive and addictive that they managed to turn their gigs into a whole clubnight in it‘s own right. The legendary and yet notorious „Moonbootica“-parties pull up to 3.000 people each time. Pure madness paired with sparkling fireworks of dirty Electro-House-Breaks or whateveryou might call it. And so it is this album that gives you a glimpse of such a night!

A man almost known all over town in Dresden: producer, DJ and local-hero Stereofunk!
After rocking every important club in Dresden, Tino Schmidt wanted to conquer new territories. So he presented his
talent in other towns. No matter where he played, his sets where alway crowned with success. His recipe: high-quality sets and unforgetable nights!

It all started with his project Popmuschi. After playing lots of gigs he Now the “First Contact EP” causes
a sensation. Tino’s style, a mix of melodic electro and groovy breakbeat, is his definition of contemporary dancemusic.

His strategy is to play his own new tracks as unknown records to test the
crowd’s reaction. And the feedback is always overwhelming!

Despite a fast growing popularity Tino Schmidt remains true to himself. Stereofunk, a name you shouldn’t forget!
